Ghosts are real, that much I know. I have seen them all my life…

Some remain tethered to a patch of land, a time and date, the spilling of blood, a terrible crime. There are others, others that hold onto an emotion, a drive, loss, revenge, or love. Those, they never go away.”

Background

Helena B. Scott is a writer, historian, Jungian and linguist who speaks several languages. She is also a mental and light trance medium, psychic investigator, and wellness/ spirituality coach and speaker. As an intuitive, eclectic and adventurous professional that has travelled extensively, Helena works in secret history, specialising in Norse and Medieval history (more specifically, the Knights Templar) drawing from her knowledge in the fields of archaeology, anthropology, religion, ancient energies, and sacred geography (including ley lines), esoteric architecture and symbolism (including marks and medieval graffiti), literature/art history, the mysteries (Western Esoteric Tradition), the supernatural, Jungian psychology and spirituality/wellbeing. As part of her own wellbeing and healing offering, Helena also works with Ocean Therapy (Blue Mind concept) due to her profound connection with the seas, having been immersed in them swimming before she could walk and sailing semi-professionally but also as PADI licensed scuba diver for over 2 decades, with some underwater archaeology experience and as a marine conservationist, previously volunteering and working with sharks as a member of the executive board of former Iberian Shark and Stingray Association (AITYR, from its Spanish initials).

Although most of her past investigations and work have been of a private nature, in 2018 Helena published her major study to date (a factual revisionist account and interactive occult book on Ireland’s most haunted house), Loftus The Hall of Dreams, which featured striking photography by Steve Meyler (New Scotland Yard’s Crime Academy former head of forensic photography). Working in a similar manner to a crime-scene investigation, it is written like a Gothic story as a tribute to Ireland’s great Gothic writers and the time period the original ghost story can be traced back to. However, although some parts may read like fiction, this unique and interactive occult “little” black book is supported by meticulous historical and psychical research.

Helena has been featured in many leading Podcasts worldwide like Psychic Matters and holds a wide variety of online and live talks & workshops, while offering consultations, coaching, and specialised research in the areas she works in. She is also a guest writer for various online and print publications including on haunted public history as in Spooky Isles. Click here to view all her services.

Helena is a born-sensitive and inherited most of her “skills” from her grandmother, but believes education is a continuous, on-going process and regularly attends workshops and conferences in her working areas. In addition to having studied a BA in Law, with History, Anthropology, and Archaeology, her work was featured by the UNESCO in a cultural heritage campaign and she has been just accepted into a Master’s Degree in Public History and Cultural Heritage for the 2024/2025 academic year. Helena frequently lectures on and attends events in these areas, and earned a Diploma in the History of Magic, Witchcraft, and the Occult at the Imperial College London. She also holds a Diploma in Psychic Development and has trained at the two top leading spiritual training and psychical research institutes in the world: Arthur Findlay College (The World’s Foremost College for the Advancement of Spiritualism & Psychic Sciences) and the London College of Psychic Studies (formerly, the Spiritualist Alliance, est. 1884), where she has been a member for almost a decade and will be lecturing from 2024.  She has also trained with the UK’s leading trance medium and psychic detectives, Ann Theato & Tony Stockwell. Additionally, Helena holds a Diploma in Jungian Psychology and has trained in psychospiritual counselling, also training in Archetypal Psychology with Laurence Hillman. She is a member of the legendary Ghost Club (est. 1862), the world’s oldest research association on paranormal phenomena, the Egypt Exploration Society (est. 1882), the European Association of Archaeologists (EAA), the World Association of International Studies (WAIS), the Irish Writers Union and a former member for many years of the International Gothic Association (IGA) and Dracula Society. After living in many parts of the world, Helena has chosen to make Ireland her permanent home.
