"We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospection. We write, like Proust, to render all of it eternal, and to persuade ourselves that it is eternal. We write to be able to transcend our life, to reach beyond it ."

Anaïs Nin

  • THE IRISH INDEPENDENT / NEW ROSS STANDARD - ‘Ghost whisperer’ Helena B Scott can unlock keys to good health

By Simon Bourke, 13 Jul 2022

Helena B Scott is eager to make a distinction, to distance herself from the work of some of her contemporaries, the people who bring camera crews and teams of curious onlookers to certain locations around the country.

“I’ve had certain gifts since the age of 5 or 6,” she says. “I have psychometry, I can touch a building or an object and read energy or memories from that, but I’m not a medium or a psychic, I see those as dirty words. I don’t do divinations for people, I don’t do seances or ouija boards, I don’t approach spirits but sometimes they approach me. I’m a ghost whisperer not a ghost hunter, I’ve always felt connected to the spirit world since a young age.”

  • THE IRISH WRITERS UNION - A Stunning New Book by Helena B. Scott

By Lisa Oliver, Secretary IWU, 2018

Loftus: Hall of Dreams by Helena B. Scott (Author) and Steve Meyler (Photographer) was launched during the summer and is a book of sheer beauty. It really is a book to treasure and keep, a substantial hardback that has been exceptionally well produced and designed. The photographs by Steve Meyler are breath-taking, very atmospheric and not simply accompanying the text, but enhancing it.

The story itself is fascinating, intriguing and far from the usual narrative of historical research. It has been written almost as a novel and the author’s style makes for a very enjoyable read. Helena Scott manages to inject so much more into this complete and compelling history of Ireland’s most haunted building. Walls may have ears, as the saying goes, but the walls of Loftus Hall have somehow given up their secrets to the intuitive hearing of Scott.

  • ANCIENT ORIGINS- Loftus The Hall of Dreams

    5 Aug 2018
IIII. The House of the Dead

The mansion stood proudly at the end of the new driveway 1, on the other side of the iron gates that the woman had come to know so well. A house once much loved, it had been abandoned and cursed, as a corpse buried in unholy ground .

The wistful abode, derelict and desolate, is at present a decaying beauty of an era long past. A true work of art of the finest 19 th century craftsmen, no expenses were spared in its re-construction. This, however, would ultimately result in its downfall. All efforts were to be in vain for darkness and fear still continue to reign, side by side, within its walls. And its soul now lies hidden, behind boarded up windows, which prevent light and life from entering it. If any occupants still linger, they’re anything but human.

  • THE MUNSTER EXPRESS - Workshop Review of ‘Know the Chakras & Aura. Cleanse, Balance and Protect your Energy’

By Kieran Walsh, 1 Sept 2022

No matter the foundation or direction of one’s beliefs, the realm of spirituality has a pull entirely of its own. It was in response to this pull that I decided to attend one of the increasingly-popular workshops run by the charismatic Helena B. Scott – a published author, historian, medium and spirituality coach. Having some rather elementary knowledge of the chakras and an interest in holistic wellbeing retreats, I opted for her workshop entitled ‘Know the Chakras & Aura: Cleanse, Balance and Protect Your Energy’. To say I left fulfilled and far from disappointed would be quite the understatement.
Personally, I found this workshop both stimulating and interesting, providing plenty of fuel for a growing fascination I’m sure to follow up on. I loved the blend of sacred geography, flourishes of Egyptology (another of Helena’s impressive array of specialisms), anthropology, archaeology and local history. Interwoven with real panache, each of these subject areas gave added context to the subject of the chakras, their meaning and importance in daily life.

I came away with an attendance certificate and comprehensive workshop booklet (over 40 pages diving deeper into the subjects covered) and a handout featuring useful links to topics touched upon. In summary, it was a truly eye-opening workshop that’s ideal for newcomers and more seasoned esoteric explorers alike, and one which enhances awareness of the world we inhabit and the powers we possess deep within.

PSYCHIC MATTERS - MYTHOPOETICS, SACRED GEOGRAPHY & SOUL ARCHAEOLOGY - Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times

EPISODE 83

“Ley lines and places of sacred geography tend to be the creators of myths. So, myths normally have no author. And when they have no author, we say they come from the land. And I always say there’s an element of truth in myths, there always is. So, if we know the myths of a place, we already have a little bit of a clue as to what could be behind the story.” – Helena B Scott
