Covenant of the Waters Symposium 2024

Most of you who follow my work will know my work in marine wildlife and history/archaeology as well as my yearly mermaid workshops, and like a true mermaid I swim daily, paddleboard and immerse myself in water as often as I can, being a licensed PADI scuba diver for over 30 years and having sailed semi-professionally for almost a decade. I'm a fierce advocate for marine conservation, supporting Sea Shepherd and forever a fan of "Her Deepness", Dr. Sylvia Earle, pioneer marine biologist, oceanographer and conservationist. I also work with water in healing, through Ocean Therapy following the Blue Mind concept of marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols and through depth and archetypal psychology.
I aim to embody the mermaid archetype in body, mind, and spirit and contribute to protecting the seas and the cultural heritage associated with them, so I'm extremely pleased to be a speaker and part of this upcoming online convention on 22 June 2024 for the Covenant of the Waters / Coven de las Aguas symposium for Spanish-speaking communities.
My talk "Mermaids: Discover the Myths, learn their Magic, awaken the Siren" will be in Spanish language and is an overview of my work in this area. I'll show how we can embody the elemental and regenerative energy of water as we journey into its depths to meet one of the oldest ancestral archetypes; mermaids. Discover how to heal with water and sea magic but also through its myths and nature spirits, attuning to the world around you to integrate the positive aspects of this archetype into your life: empathy, unconditional love, eco-consciousness, wisdom, awareness, insight, and stillness.
