Inspired by the UNESCO Historic Urban Landscape Recommendation of 2011, I initially set out to create a public event at Kilbarry Knights Graveyard that celebrates its medieval heritage and cultural diversity which transformed into an annual Templar Day. Together with Knight Commander Brendan M. Rohan from OSMTH Ireland, we are launching an annual Waterford Historical Templar Day each October around the 13th (the date of the 1307 arrests). This year’s event takes place on Saturday, 11 October (see programme).
